English language arts
English Language Arts (ELA) helps students become confident readers, writers, speakers, and thinkers. Students engage with a variety of literature and informational texts that encourage them to explore new ideas, consider different perspectives, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Through reading, discussion, and writing, students learn how to analyze information, support their ideas with evidence, and communicate effectively.
Students are active participants in the learning process, regularly collaborating with their peers, engaging in meaningful discussions, and sharing their thinking through writing and presentations. As they progress through middle school, students develop the skills to read increasingly complex texts, write for a variety of purposes, and communicate their ideas with clarity and confidence.
